Sometimes there’s just nothing better then packing a bowl, putting your feet up and turning on something awesome to watch while you unwind from your day. The only question now is “what should I watch?” Here are 8 TV Shows to Watch High on Netflix.
1. Comedy Bang! Bang!
This show started out as a podcast and is hosted by comedian/writer Scott Aukerman with band-leader and vocal artist Reggie Watts. It’s like a late night talk show with every episode featuring a guest comedian on the couch. It’s silly, ridiculous, off-beat humor. And it’s amazing!
If you haven’t seen Archer yet, now is your chance. It’s like James Bond…but animated. Sterling Archer, voiced by H. Jon Benjamin, is a self-centered, spoiled agent (who is very good at what he does) whose mom is head of the spy agency called ISIS.
3. Regular Show
Mordecai and Rigby are described as “two 23-year old friends employed as groundskeepers at a park and spend their days trying to slack off and entertain themselves by any means.”
A 13-part television series produced in 1978 and presented by Carl Sagan. This man was a true visionary (and hemp advocate!) who will take you on a journey through the cosmos, with each episode dedicated to a different aspect.
5. Afro Samurai
Samuel L. Jackson is the voice of the Afro Samurai; who is on a mission to avenge the death of his father. It is set in futuristic, feudal Japan. Shall I point out that Wu-Tang Clan member RZA produced the soundtrack? Yep!
6. Doctor Who
Doctor Who first appeared on BBC television in 1963 and there are episodes still being made to this day. “The Doctor” is a time-and-space traveling alien (“Time Lord” to be exact) who travels the universe in his TARDIS with different companions throughout the series. The show aired from 1963-1989 (some of these episodes are on Netflix as well) and then started again in 2005.
7. Bob’s Burgers
An animated show with H. Jon Benjamin voicing as Bob. He and his family run a hamburger restaurant (keep an eye out for the “pun-ny” specials they serve on the chalkboard every episode).
8. Arrested Development
A truly underrated television series that Netflix actually picked up so they could air their fourth season. Set in Newport Beach, California, the show centers around the dysfunctional, spoiled Bluth family who insist on living extravagant lifestyles despite the fact they are now broke; and the one son trying to keep them together.
